Kick off the 98th Western Welcome Week celebration at our Opening Night on Friday, August 7, on the south lawn of Sterne Park! Our theme this year is Colorful Colorado – 150 Years – dedicated to this year marking the 150th anniversary of Colorado statehood (the sesquicentennial). At the same time, America is celebrating 250 years since signing the Declaration of Independence (its semiquincentennial).

This free evening of celebration, tradition, and hometown pride is a beloved community favorite!

We’re excited to once again partner with the City of Littleton’s Little Jam for this festive evening — featuring a high-energy performance by The Petty Nicks Experience, a Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks tribute band. Stick around for Western Welcome Week’s unique Drone Show at approximately 9pm.

Enjoy a variety of food trucks along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase from Western Welcome Week – building funds as we prepare to celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2028. On to 100 years and beyond of celebrating community!
