Kick off the 98th Western Welcome Week celebration at Opening Night on Friday, August 7, on the south lawn of Sterne Park!

This year’s theme, “Colorful Colorado – 150 Years,” honors the 150th anniversary of Colorado statehood (the sesquicentennial) while America celebrates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence (the semiquincentennial).

This free evening of celebration, tradition, and hometown pride is a beloved community favorite and the perfect way to begin ten days of festivities!

We’re excited to once again partner with the City of Littleton’s Little Jam for this festive evening, featuring a high-energy performance by The Petty Nicks Experience, a tribute to the legendary music of Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks. Bring your lawn chairs, gather with friends and neighbors, and enjoy an unforgettable summer evening under the stars.

Guests can enjoy a variety of food trucks, along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase from Western Welcome Week. Proceeds help build funds as we prepare to celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2028. Here’s to 100 years and beyond of celebrating community!

Cap off the evening with Western Welcome Week’s spectacular Drone Show at approximately 9:00 p.m. — a unique and dazzling display you won’t want to miss.
