Come meet some of South Platte Park & Carson Nature Center’s amazing animal ambassadors and discover their incredible adaptations! Get up close with Snappy the snapping turtle, Godzilla the tiger salamander, Po-ta-Toad our Woodhouse’s toad, and Max and Rudy, our Western Ornate box turtles.
Connect with South Platte Naturalists as you learn how these fascinating reptiles and amphibians survive, thrive, and play important roles in our local ecosystems.

The time limit for the reptiles to be outside is four hours, so viewing will be from 10am-2pm. After that, the animals will be sent home to relax in a cooler area. Stick around – grab some information, view animal artifacts, and engage in some games!
