August 18th: We are saddened to announce that the Brad & Mary Bradford Memorial Duck Race has been canceled. After discussion with  Western Welcome Week planners, South Suburban Parks & Recreation Park Rangers, and the City of Littleton, it was determined that the water level of Sterne Lake isn’t enough to create the current in Little’s Creek needed for the Duck Race. Even with the amount of rain received, without outside water assistance, the flow would be too weak. If you have already purchased ducks, refunds will be made after Sunday, August 20th.

The Brad & Mary Bradford Memorial Duck Race honors the philanthropy and community fun that Brad and Mary enjoyed.

Join us at the Little’s Creek Bridge at Sterne Park 5804 S. Bemis Street. Come and cheer on the ducks as they race down Little’s Creek towards the Prince Street bridge – FUN for the whole family! Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. You can only win once, and must be present to win!

In-person registration and duck sales begin at 12noon;  the race will begin promptly at 1pm. Parking is available at the Center for the Blind (2233 W Shepperd Avenue) and at Sterne Park (5800 S Spotswood).

If you have already purchased ducks, refunds will be made after Sunday, August 20th.

Order your Duck entries online: $5 per duck or $25 for a Six-Quack
Online ordering closes at 12 noon on the day of the event
Duck number(s) will be assigned at the event.
