Join us for the 95th Western Welcome Week Celebration Kickoff – Concert & NEW Laser Show in Sterne Park! We are excited to have NEW this year a professional Laser Show by Dynamic FX! This exciting show has hundreds of color combinations choreographed to music and will last 30 minutes after the Denver Municipal Band finishes, approximately 9pm.
Dynamic FX provides family-friendly laser light shows. They strive to provide the best experience. Their professional team of production technicians and laser programmers pays close attention to detail, creating stunning laser displays. The show is guaranteed to astonish our guests.
Bring your blanket and lawn chairs, and sit back and enjoy the music of The Denver Municipal Band – building community through music for nearly two centuries, and a sparkling fireworks show after the music.. There will be food trucks at the event: Mike’s Coneys, Flavor of Tabasco, 5280 Burger Bar, Hippie Pie Yay, Woodlhill Small Batch BBQ. There will be a large crowd so feel free to bring your own picnic. Kona Ice and Bellaire Kettle Corn will be on site selling their tasty treats. Beer and wine will not be sold at the event.
We are excited for the return of the Drum Lines from some of the local High Schools, performing before the Denver Municipal Band.
Be sure to purchase glow necklaces – a WWW fundraiser. WWW and their volunteers are the only authorized group to sell glow items at the event.

• 5:50pm Introduction of the 2023 Western Welcome Week Grand Marshal
• 6pm • National Anthem Sung by Sean Swallow
• 6:10pm • Drum Line – The “Pride of Littleton” High School Marching Band
• 6:30pm • “Special Blend” An intergenerational band partnering with Denver Municipal Band. Professional adult musicians and some very talented kids who are students at North High in Denver.
• 7:30: Denver Municipal Band – Featuring vocals by Tatiana Mayfield – See Program Below
• Approximately 9pm-9:30pm • Dynamic FX Laser Show choreographed to music.
This year the new Laser Show will be dedicated to long-time friend and past Western Welcome Week board member, Tim Hill. Tim was a gentle giant with a passion for Western Welcome Week. During his terms on the board he would be seen everywhere during the annual celebration, and he continued to attend and participate in many of the events through 2022. Tim’ service to our community and his spirit of kindness will never be forgotten.
