< Back to Event Schedule

Come see South Metro Safety Foundation’s Engine 1/2 at the WWW Craft Fair after the parade (approximately noon). Engine 1/2 is a fully functional replica of a Pierce fire engine. It is used to promote fire and life safety initiatives as well as to help South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) ad South Metro Safety Foundation (SMSF) connect with the community. Originally designed as a Halloween costume for Ricky Marquez, who was bound to a wheelchair with Cerebral Palsy. Engine 1/2 was fitted around Ricky’s wheelchair, which allowed him to participate alongside full sized fire apparatus in several local events. Engine 1/2 has a unique ability to inspire the imaginations of both you ad old!

Learn what South Metro Safety has to offer! Classes: Babysitting, Kids Home Alone, CPR-AED & First Aid, Teen Driving – Crash Avoidance, Teen Driving, Driver Awareness, Adult/Senior Driving Skills, Caring For Older Adults , Safety Skills for Older Adults, and Driver Awareness – Permit at 15 1/2.
