The Depot Art Center and Gallery is a restored Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe train station originally built in 1888. It was retired in 1965 and eventually relocated to its current location at The Depot Art Gallery Powers and Court in Littleton. In 1969 the Depot was designated as a historic landmark. In June of 1977, The Deport Art Center and Gallery opened. In 1979, it was enhanced by the addition of a renovated 1890’s caboose just north of the red and green Depot building. Located just east of the railroad tracks, the Depot is a successful and unique center in a marriage of community spirit and the arts.
