Western Welcome Week — Celebrating Community!

Only 183 days until the 82nd Western Welcome Week begins — August 11-22, 2010

WWW 2010 logo: Honoring our Heritage.LITTLETON, COLORADO — Western Welcome Week is an annual community celebration in the greater Littleton area. The event started in the late 1920s, and has been held every year since. Western Welcome Week includes over 40 events benefiting dozens of local civic and charitable organizations.

This year the 82nd annual celebration begins on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 and continues for 11 more days, through Sunday, August 22, 2010. Festival Day, which includes the Children's Parade, the Grand Parade, the 51st annual Arts & Crafts Fair, and concessions by local civic groups, will be Saturday, August 21, 2010.

Western Welcome Week, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public chairty, dedicated to carrying on the tradition of greater Littleton—yesterday, today and tomorrow—with the annual Western Welcome Week celebration.

Volunteerism and support from the business community are what make Western Welcome Week a success year after year. The goal of Western Welcome Week is to nurture community spirit, bring together residents and businesses, to support service clubs and nonprofits by creating an opportunity for fundraising, and to provide festivities and entertainment for families, friends and neighbors. In planning Western Welcome Week, the board pledges to remain open to new ideas, respect past traditions and be aware of present day needs with a vision for tomorrow.

Colorado Festivals and Events Association.Western Welcome Week, Inc. is a member of the Colorado Festivals and Events Association, representing community festivals, ethnic celebrations, music festivals, arts festivals, sporting events, historical celebrations, venues, chambers of commerce, parks and recreation districts, county fairs, rodeos, event vendors and more throughout Colorado.South Metro Denver Events and Visitors Bureau.

The Events & Visitors Bureau (a separate program of the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce) promotes economic development through a collective effort from businesses including hotels, restaurants, retail, parks and recreation, entertainment, and attractions. The Events & Visitors Bureau is comprised of enthusiastic volunteers and advisory board members that aim to expand and promote tourism and leisure tourism in the Denver Metro area.
