For Western Welcome Week board members, volunteers, City of Littleton Streets Department, Police and Fire staff, Festival Day begins at 5am. Once the police have closed Main Street and surrounding streets, the craft and concession vendors start setting up their booths.
By 8am, the booths are set up and early shoppers begin to arrive. The Littleton Firefighters’ Children’s Parade starts at 8:45 AM at Bega Park; watch the Littleton fire truck make its way down the street to mark the start of the parade.
At 10am, the Grand Parade starts down Littleton Boulevard at Gallup Street, arriving on Main Street about 15 minutes later. After the parade, the street fills with families from all over the greater Littleton area, enjoying the WWW Arts & Crafts Festival and Concessions in the beautiful late-summer weather in Littleton, Colorado. There are so many things to do on Main Street on Festival Day: Fun or Kids Area and the Family Stage at the west end of Main Street, Dance Stage at Main and Prince Streets, great Main Street merchants, and more!
By the afternoon, the late-summer sun begins to go down, and the crowds start to thin. At 5pm, the day wind sdown as crafters take down their booths and the street sweeper starts its multiple passes up and down the street. Everything is cleaned up and traffic begins flowing down Main Street again by 8pm.
Festival Day has been a Littleton tradition for over 80 years!
